Play By Poll: Page 3 - The Ruins of Re' Shar
Hey all,
It was either cross the ford or take the path. They were the options presented and it was a tie. So I had to head to the comments on the blog and sure enough, there was one more vote to take the path behind the water falls.
So here we go.
Deciding not to take the ford across the fast flowing water to the entrance of the ruins, you decide to follow the path upstream, which heads behind the water falls. The lush vegetation is almost primordial in nature, with long green vines, large ferns and thick undergrowth swelling up in each side of the path.
The path takes a curve to the right, and the vegetation stops, to become barren rock wore smooth by thousands of years of flowing water. But the path leads behind, with the waterfall cascading down like a shield of flowing water to the outer edge. From where you entered the valley, the waterfalls concealed a large iron gate, with large crumbled statues on either side behind the waterfall. Its iron gate is open wide enough to allow you to walk through it. You do not see any light coming through its opening. But as you get closer, with the sound of the raging water crashing down, you get a sense of dread and foreboding as you walk near this large entrance.
The cloaked figure that you saw moments ago, who walked in on this path from the other side of the waterfalls is no where to be seen. So you assume that it went into this opening before you entered the path.
Luck Check: Needs 9 or lower, Rolled a 4
You find tucked into a crack in the rock face a old withered scroll case, which contains a parchment. On this parchment there is a strange drawing with strange markings, beasts and symbols. You have no idea what it means, but you feel very uncomfortable looking at it after several seconds.
Do you:
A: Enter the large door?
B: Keep on walking to the other side of the waterfalls?
